Get Involved

Puzzles is run by volunteers and funded by donations, fundraising and grants. There are lots of ways you can help.

Volunteer: become an orange shirt

We’d love you to join our growing team. Our volunteers wear bright orange shirts, so members can always find them. We go out every Friday night and in the daytime during school holidays, and we also run monthly coffee mornings. You can help at some events or all of them, with whatever time you can give. Volunteers aged 17 and over are welcome.

You’ll need to be

  • Understanding and patient
  • Fun to be around
  • Able to pass a DBS check
  • Happy to wear orange!

What you’ll get

  • Training, including our policies and safeguarding
  • A free DBS check
  • Valuable work experience
  • Fun, and the chance to change people’s lives

Donate

Donations help us subsidise trips and activities, so that more families can take part and nobody misses out because of cost. You can give securely through our JustGiving page.

Fundraise for us

From school raffles and sponsored walks to bake sales and birthday fundraisers, local people and businesses have raised thousands for Puzzles. You can set up your own fundraising page on JustGiving in a few minutes. We welcome any fundraising ideas, so let us know what you’re planning.

Businesses & funders

If your organisation would like to support Puzzles through sponsorship, a staff fundraising challenge or a grant, please email our leader, Paul Harper, at paul.harper@medwaypuzzles.co.uk. We’re happy to share more about our work and the difference it makes.
